We run the day on a machine of the same family as yours, with your own files if you send them ahead. You leave with the parameter sets we used, written down, so the first week back at your own machine is not spent guessing.
What the day covers
- Engraving, cutting and marking — when each is the right answer, and what each costs in time
- Photo and relief engraving, and why most first attempts come out grey
- Getting a clean cut edge on acrylic, plywood and MDF without scorching
- Jigs and fixtures: repeating the same job a hundred times without re-aligning
- Nesting and batching — the difference between 40 minutes and 4 hours for one class set
- Rotary work on bottles, tumblers and cylindrical parts
- File preparation in Illustrator, CorelDRAW or Inkscape, and the settings that cause silent failures
Who it is for
