Professional development for teaching staff.
Included with a lab. Bookable on its own for an institution that already has a machine. And free every month, if you are still deciding whether the equipment belongs in your department at all.
Not the installation handover. That covers the buttons, and it happens on a day when the machine is new and nobody has tried to use it with thirty students yet. A PD day assumes all that already happened and starts from the harder question: what do you actually do with this in a lesson.
What a day covers
- What the machine is genuinely good at, and what it is the wrong tool for — the second half matters more
- Turning a syllabus outcome into a job the machine can run inside a period
- Machine time arithmetic: giving a class of twenty-five something each without the lesson running out
- Supervision and safety in an occupied teaching room, including the materials that must never go on the bed
- Material choice and cost per student
- Reading a failure — telling a settings problem from a file problem from a material problem
- Building the first jigs and the wall test grid that answer most questions for the rest of the year
It runs at our Riyadh showroom or at your campus. Groups of up to twelve; beyond that people stop participating and start watching.
How to get one
The free route
Once a month we take one machine at the Riyadh showroom and run it properly on real jobs — not a demo reel, the actual work, including what goes wrong. That session is free and open to anyone: Machine of the Month.
Straight afterwards, in the same room, there is a session for education visitors only. Teachers, lecturers, lab technicians and heads of department. It goes deeper on classroom application, curriculum fit and what the equipment means for a teaching programme rather than a production one — and it is free as well: Education session.
If you are deciding whether the equipment belongs in your department at all, start there rather than here. It costs nothing and it answers more than a brochure will.
Other training
- Applications training — a full day on what the machine can be made to do
- Materials training — half a day on what to cut, what to avoid, and what must never go in
- On-site lesson — in your own workshop, on your own machine, with your own students
Every way we train.
