Getting ready for your machine.
What to prepare before our engineer arrives, the site preparation guide for your model, and how to install Ruby, Trotec's laser software.
Before installation day
Every new machine is installed by a Lawazen engineer, with operator training included. Read the site preparation guide for your model below: it sets out what the machine needs from the room, the power supply and the extraction. If anything in it is unclear, send us a photo of the room on WhatsApp and we will go through it with you.
- The room, the route in and the power supply checked against the guide.
- A plan for where the extraction hose runs and where the air goes.
- The computer that will run the laser software, on your network.
- The people who will use the machine, free for the training.
Installing Ruby
Ruby is Trotec's laser software. It does not run every Trotec machine, so ask us before installing it for a SpeedMarker, a U series or a Rayjet.
- Machines without a screen on the machine: install Ruby from Trotec's Ruby help site and follow its installation steps.
- Speedy machines with a screen on the machine: a certificate is installed first. The Ruby videos in the help centre show each step.
