When screen printing is the right answer

Volume. Setting up a screen costs time and labour, but once it is on the press the cost per garment barely moves. That makes screen printing the cheapest method above roughly a hundred identical pieces, and dramatically the cheapest at a thousand — which is why uniform contracts, event shirts and retail runs are printed this way.

Below about a hundred pieces, or for full-colour photographic artwork, heat transfer or direct-to-garment wins. We will say so rather than sell you a press you will use twice a year.

What a working line needs

• A press — manual for sampling and short runs, automatic carousel for production
• A conveyor dryer sized to the press feeding it. An undersized dryer is the most common bottleneck we are called out to fix, and under-cured ink fails in the first wash.
• Screens, emulsion, inks and the cleaning chemistry to keep them usable

Buying and installation

Screen printing equipment is quoted, not listed — station count, garment type, ink system and floor space all change the specification. A Lawazen quotation covers the press, the dryer, delivery, installation and operator training, and our maintenance team services it on site anywhere in the Kingdom.
